The new HZRDUS PX4 has a new composite thigh rise core.  This makes the thigh rise 30% stiffer than previous generations.  This is ideal for a goalie with a wider butterfly.  Combined with the stiffer thigh rise core, the thigh rise is angled to direct pucks to an angle when making a butterfly save.  Also with the stiffer core, rebounds are more explosive off the pads compared to previous generations of True (and Lefevre) goalie pads.  The thigh rise of the HZRDUS PX4 has also been thinned out by 40% (again based on past generations of True pads).  This makes the thigh rise overlap more manageable in the ready position and skating movements. This also makes transitions in skating movements much easier for the goalie.

The boot of the HZRDUS PX4 has the 90-degree angle which again provides the flex in the boot that the hybrid goalie wants.

The True HZRDUS PX4 will continue using the popular (Patent-pending) Fast Rotation System (FRS) located at the calf keeps the leg connected to the pad. FRS makes them incredibly responsive without compromising rotation when dropping to the ice.

Bungee Toe Tie:  The True HZRDUS PX4 pads comes stock with a bungee toe tie system. For years manufactures have used a skate lace to connect the toe of the pad to the toe of the skate.  In recent years, after market bungee toe tie products have become very popular because they allow the toe of the pad to stretch from the toe of the skate with an elastic type of effect.  This stretching and recoiling improves the recovery process and creates more power pushes for the goalie. This toe system also takes pressure off the goalies ankles, knees and hips because it eliminates the quick stop and jerk process that skate lace has when it runs out of slack.

There are many options that can be custom ordered on the HZRDUS PX4 leg pads.  A goalie can have a no break or single break outer roll.  The inner core can come with a no break, single break or double break core.  The thigh rise options are X-Stiff, Stiff or Mid-Stiff.  There are several strapping options on the HZRDUS leg pads.  In the knee area, a goalie can choose from a fixed angle two-inch elastic knee, a one-inch nylon fixed angle strap or a leather strap fixed on an angle.  In the boot area, the goalie can have no boot strap, a leather strap under the heal or a leather strap going behind the heel.  The knee area has five options: a recessed knee with no outer wrap, a recessed knee with a removable outer knee wrap, a recessed knee with a protective outer knee wrap, a soft foam with outer knee wrap and a soft foam with protective outer knee wrap.  Lastly, there are two boot angles to choose from.  The 90 degree (which is the most popular) and the 60 degree which makes the pad stand a bit taller because of the lack of flex in the boot.
